Hi, my name is Vannessa Wilhelm; I am proud to call myself a wife and photographer/owner of Little Butterfly Photography. My passion for photography started in my college years in my homeland of the Philippines. I remember scenes standing out that I would capture in my mind. This naturally led me to buy my first camera. I immigrated to the United States where I met my husband and I promptly took a photography course at the New York Institute of Photography to help further my skills. In 2018 back in the Philippines, my best friend Rowena developed cancer. She needed money for medicine and in the Philippines, the dollar can go a long way. I decided to use my photography to raise money for her and out of this was born Little Butterfly Photography. She passed away in 2021, but I continued to press on with the business. I loved photography because it has many facets within itself. Photography can freeze time, capture colors in light, evoke nostalgia and a whole array of feelings. I work to produce these things for my clients, always trying to exceed their expectations. The possibilities seem limitless and I'm thankful for all my clients and others who have made this journey possible. Although she is no longer present, I continue to be grateful to my best friend Rowena for the inspiration she gave me to get into the field of photography. 🦋
